Émet reached out to CIDT to transform their mission of building a fairer internet into a working product, relying on our team to deliver the full end-to-end development of a secure, scalable platform that empowers users to monetize their data while providing AI companies with high-quality, accessible datasets.
We began with a discovery session to define priorities and requirements. During this session, we outlined the integration of the platform with the Universal Data License (UDL) and identified key features, including survey onboarding, transaction visibility, and fraud prevention. Furthermore, we discussed potential long-term enhancements such as API access and AI model support. Our goal was to create a flexible foundation that could improve over time instead of needing a complete rebuild in the future.
Next came the technical design phase, where we mapped the user flow and architecture. We evaluated hosting options (AWS vs. DigitalOcean) with attention to stability, cost, migration, and GDPR compliance. For data storage, we explored blockchain-backed solutions to guarantee integrity and security.
After the technical blueprint, our focus shifted to design sessions. We began with responsive UI/UX to make sure the experience was intuitive for users. Once the design direction was set, the team translated it into a development-ready roadmap, estimating tasks and sequencing priorities into sprints.
Finally, we advanced into development, bringing together a multidisciplinary team: Project Manager, Tech Lead, Blockchain Engineer, Full Stack Engineer, QA Engineer, Business Analyst, DevOps, and UI/UX Designer. Using a modern stack - Node.js, React, PostgreSQL, Arweave AO Smart Contracts, Docker, AWS, and HashiCorp Vault - we delivered a secure and scalable platform.
In just 5 sprints, we launched an MVP, setting the stage for Émet Earn to onboard users, license data through UDL, and move confidently toward its mission of building a fairer internet.
